Cereb and Broviken in partnership for continued expansion

20 / 03 / 2019

Cereb AB (“Cereb” or “the Company”) has entered into a strategic partnership to accelerate its expansion and growth. The investment is being made in partnership with the Company’s founders, Gunnar Jakobsson and Hannah Rubinstein. The partnership secures additional resources and expertise to drive the continued development of Cereb, which is currently Sweden’s leading private provider of neuropsychiatric assessments for conditions such as ADHD and autism.

Cereb is a well-positioned company recognized for its high quality and expertise. The company conducts neuropsychiatric evaluations through a team of highly qualified professionals with complementary expertise (psychologists, psychiatrists, physicians, and nurses) who collaborate around the individual being evaluated. The focus is on helping the individual gain greater knowledge and understanding of how they function and how they can best develop and thrive. Cereb works closely with the research community and bases its work on science and proven experience. The comprehensive report that the individual receives from Cereb can also be used effectively to support further interventions—for example, in preschool, school, or the workplace—and describes the individual’s strengths and challenges while providing recommendations on how the individual can improve their quality of life. In recent years, Cereb has also expanded its service offerings to include medical and psychological treatment for individuals who have undergone an assessment.

Cereb currently operates clinics in Stockholm and Helsingborg, with the goal of continuing to expand into additional locations in the coming years. In recent years, the company has demonstrated strong organic growth driven by increased awareness of neuropsychiatric disabilities. Cereb has approximately 40 employees and an additional 30 or so doctors and psychologists working on a consulting basis. Revenue totaled 75 MSEK in 2018.

“It has been important for us to secure the Company’s future development and growth with a partner who has experience with the initiatives we will be implementing in the coming years, who has a solid understanding of the healthcare market, and who recognizes the importance of sound core values and corporate culture as part of building a successful company. In Broviken, we have found a partner that shares our view of employees, quality, and the vision of being the leading knowledge-based company in psychiatry and psychology. We look forward to continuing our growth journey together with Broviken,” says Gunnar Jacobsson, founder of Cereb.

Per Granath, CEO of Broviken, commented, “We are very impressed by the company that Cereb’s founders and employees have built. The company has established a leading position in Sweden thanks to its strong focus on quality, a dedicated team of employees with high levels of expertise in psychology and psychiatry, and a service offering that supports individuals with neuropsychiatric disabilities. Cereb has ambitious plans for the future, and we look forward to collaborating with the founders and other employees to continue developing the business moving forward.”

The terms of the transaction are not disclosed.
