Broviken Gruppen II AB (“Broviken”) is making its second investment in Norway by becoming the majority owner of BER Bygg og Eiendomsrevisjon AS (“BER”). The company has a strong position in Norway in the field of technical consulting for the real estate market, and the investment is being made in partnership with the company’s current owners.
BER offers various types of technical consulting services, such as technical due diligence, construction loan management, and technical appraisals related to the Norwegian real estate market. The company, headquartered in Oslo, was founded in 2008 and has, since its inception, operated with a strong focus on quality; with its proprietary BER report, it has established a “standard” in Norway for technical real estate consulting. With the acquisition of BER, Broviken strengthens its presence in Norway and paves the way for close collaboration between several of Broviken’s existing platform companies, such as HRP and Svefa. The company’s CEO, Stine Korsen, will continue in her role following the change in ownership.
– Per Granath, CEO of Broviken: “We are very pleased to have been entrusted with becoming an ownership partner alongside the founders of BER. Through BER, Broviken gains expertise and a market position that complement the services Broviken already offers the market through our portfolio companies.” These companies—HRP in Norway and Svefa and Forsen in Sweden—will, together with BER, be able to develop new service offerings for our clients in both Sweden and Norway. The Swedish real estate market lacks a player with a comprehensive service offering in technical, ESG, and EDD due diligence, and we believe BER has excellent prospects for establishing itself in Sweden with Broviken’s support.
– Stine Korsen, CEO of BER, says: “We are very pleased to welcome Broviken as a shareholder in BER. Together, we will drive growth for the company by building on both our existing services and new service areas that address the needs of the real estate market, including ESG, environmental diligence (EDD), and other environmental consulting services.” At the same time, we aim to increase the value ofBER’sservices for our clients through investments in technological development.”
