The Broviken Group (“Broviken”), which owns and develops specialized service companies, is now acquiring 66 percent of the shares in Brightmill AB (“Brightmill”), one of Sweden’s leading interim staffing agencies, thereby becoming the company’s new majority owner. Since its inception, Brightmill has maintained a strong focus on creating an efficient operation through a high degree of digitalization. With Broviken as a partner, the company can now take the next step in its continued growth and development.
Brightmill was founded 10 years ago and is now one of Sweden’s leading interim management firms. The business, which has revenue of nearly 100 Mkr, is run by a lean and competent in-house organization that delivers high customer satisfaction while maintaining strong profitability.
– In general, recruitment and talent acquisition is a competitive industry with moderate profitability and a relatively low level of digitization. When I started Brightmill, I felt there had to be smarter ways of working. That’s why, from the very beginning, we’ve focused on efficient processes and a high degree of digitization, which has resulted in the industry’s best profitability. In addition to this, a long-term perspective and quality are very important to us. Looking back, I dare say that it has been—and continues to be—a successful strategy,”says Henrik Engstam Phalén, CEO and founder of Brightmill.
With Broviken now becoming the majority owner, Brightmill can take the next step in its continued growth and development.
– We will continue to operate independently and under our own brand; with Broviken’s backing, we’ll have an even stronger platform to build on. “I’m very proud that we’ve now become part of Broviken and that they’ve chosen to invest in Brightmill. Broviken has excellent companies in its portfolio, and several are leaders in their respective fields. For us and our customers, the collaboration with our new sister companies will create numerous positive synergies,” says Henrik Engstam Phalén.
Broviken is a privately held group of companies that invests in Nordic companies in the service sector, led by strong entrepreneurs and management teams. Broviken was founded in 2018 and, in addition to Brightmill, has companies such as NOX Consulting, Forsen, Svefa, Attollo, and Cereb in its portfolio.
– We are impressed by the business and the unique market position that Henrik and his team at Brightmill have succeeded in building. Brightmill meets clients’ talent needs with both high quality and speed. Brightmill’s extensive network of skilled executives and the digital processes the company has developed make it possible to quickly and accurately identify and place the right talent. Overall, we appreciate the combination of personalized service, a focus on quality, and digital processes. We believe Brightmill is perfectly positioned in the talent acquisition sector. We are delighted and proud that Henrik has chosen to bring Broviken on board as the majority owner of Brightmill,”says Jesper Wigelius, Partner at Broviken.
