On January 27, 2020, Broviken Gruppen II AB (“Broviken II”) completed its first closing with 650 million SEK in capital commitments.
Broviken II was launched on October 12, 2019, and has received a strong response from investors. A very large proportion of the investors who joined Broviken Gruppen AB (“Broviken I”) in 2018 have chosen to make additional capital commitments to Broviken II. The majority of the investors are private individuals and family offices, many of whom are part of Broviken Partners’ network of friends and business partners. In addition, most of the entrepreneurs who sold the majority of their companies to Broviken I have chosen to invest in Broviken II—in addition to reinvesting in their respective companies alongside Broviken I. In addition, a handful of slightly larger institutional investors have joined Broviken II. In total, approximately 80 investors have made capital commitments ranging from 1.2 to 75 MSEK. The average commitment is approximately 8 MSEK.
Broviken II may implement additional closures.
“We would like to thank all investors for the confidence they have shown in Broviken, and we are very pleased with the strong response we have received from both existing and new investors. We will operate Broviken II in parallel with Broviken I and continue to invest in high-quality, niche service companies that we can further develop in partnership with the companies’ founders, management teams, and key employees. Broviken’s ambition is to help already strong companies become even better and stronger. “Our plan to take Broviken’s entire portfolio public in 2024 remains unchanged.” says Per Granath, founder and CEO of Broviken.
